What does the Industrial Medicine Department do?
The Industrial Medicine Department provides services to businesses to help meet their objectives to prevent illness and injuries of employees. Some services can be conducted at the company's location. The services designed to meet an organizations specific needs include:
- Evaluation of employees ability to perform their assigned duties in a safe manner (pre-placement medical evaluations)
- Recognition of early symptoms and signs of work-related health effects and appropriate interventions.
- Treatment and referrals for occupational injuries and illnesses and non-occupational disorders that affect work performance (work-related injuries)
- Promotion and maintenance of employees' health (wellness)
