Hannibal Clinic - Emergency Preparedness

The Generator was purchased to keep the Hannibal Clinic in full operation in case of a disaster disrupting area power supplies. “This Generator,” explained Richard Zerbonia, Hannibal Clinic Operations Director, “will allow the Hannibal Clinic to better serve our patients and the community with all of its medical needs and services until area power supplies are restored.”

The Hannibal Clinic is excited to announce that as of November 18, 2007, we will have an operating 500kw diesel generator capable of powering the entire Clinic and its equipment in case of any power failure or disaster that may occur.

“In case of a power failure,” states Zerbonia, “the Automatic Transfer switch will activate the emergency back up power in a matter of a few seconds keeping the Clinic running without interruption for an indefinite period of time.”

Zerbonia said, “The unit weighs 8 tons and has an 800 gallon fuel tank that is capable of running 24 hours without refueling.  Our Caterpillar generator meets all EPA Federal standards.”
