Hannibal Clinic - Opens New Infusion Room

The Hannibal Clinic recently opened its new Infusion Room.  There, patients may receive a variety of IV treatments including treatments for dehydration, osteoporosis and kidney failure without hospitalization.

Infusions that used to have to be administered in a hospital setting may now be given in the new infusion room.  These infusions include IV fluids for x-ray tests, treatment for dehydration, osteoporosis, IV antibiotics for infection, or injections to prevent blood clots.

The new infusion room can treat up to four patients at once. The room offers patients a comfortable and private place to stay while receiving treatment. A flat screen television, comfy recliners and refreshments are some of the elements that allow patients to relax during their IV treatments.  Patient’s families are also welcome to stay with their loved one.

Hannibal Clinic patient, Linda Horner, said, “The IV room at the Hannibal Clinic is wonderful. When I had to have IV's for several continuing days, it was convenient and comfortable to go to the clinic, and I and my friends/family were made welcome.  If I had to go to the emergency room each time, I wouldn't have received IV's as regularly as needed, due to the inconvenience and feeling the lack of emergency.  Thank you for this service.”

The infusion room is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  It is located on the 1st Floor of the Hannibal Clinic at 100 Medical Drive in Hannibal.  Your physician’s office at the Hannibal Clinic will schedule this service for the patient when needed.
